Your first 30 days
The first month sets the pace for everything that follows. Here is what it usually looks like.
Week one: settling in
You meet your trainers and mentors, set up your tools and start with the basics of your course. You also get to see how the agency works around you.
Week two: building habits
Daily lessons followed by practical tasks. You learn to ask good questions, take notes on feedback and keep your work organised.
Week three: first real tasks
You start working on small parts of real projects, reviewed closely by a senior before anything is delivered.
Week four: first review
Your mentor reviews your progress with you and sets clear goals for the next month.
A typical day
Every course is different, but most days follow a similar rhythm that mirrors a real agency workday.
What live projects feel like
Working on a live project is different from a classroom exercise. There is a real client, a real deadline and real people who will use what you build. That pressure is exactly what makes you grow.
You will read real briefs, ask clarifying questions, deliver drafts and handle changes. Sometimes a client will love your work the first time. Sometimes they will ask for five changes. Both teach you something you cannot learn from a textbook. And every piece of finished work goes into your portfolio.
Client calls: once you are ready, you join client meetings with a senior. You will learn to listen, explain your work simply and agree on next steps, skills that employers value highly.
How you grow
- Technical skill: you master the tools and methods of your field through daily practice.
- Communication: you learn to explain your work and take feedback without taking it personally.
- Discipline: real deadlines teach you to plan and finish what you start.
- Confidence: by the end, you have done the job before you apply for it.
